The Frosting
Frosting Recipe
Even though this recipe does call for frosting, don't feel you have to add it to the cheesecake. It is quite good and rich without it.
If you decide that you do want frosting, you may want to use half the chocolate chips the recipe suggests.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of whipping cream
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Put 2 tablespoons of whipping cream and 1/3 cup chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.
- 2. Set microwave at 50% medium for 20-30 seconds or until chips are melted. Make sure mixture is smooth when stirred.
- 3. Allow to cool slightly into frosting texture. Spread over the top of the cheesecake.
- 4. Refrigerate until frosting is set about 15-20 minutes. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Q/a
Why does my chocolate turn
"whitish" in color?
It has been exposed to various temperatures.
It's okay to use the chocolate, because it doesn't effect the quality or taste of it.
